2010 Summer Road Trip - Day 8

Friday, June 4, 2010
Carlisle, PA to Albany, NY

The Rundown: All we did today was drive. There were no cool rest stops to check out and the traffic was very heavy the whole way. We didn't hit gridlock until we got to Albany (at 5pm), but it was still a "slow" driving day. We were all exhausted when we got here.

High Point of the Day: Katie: Seeing a larger than life plastic cow on a trailer going down the interstate. Too bad we didn't get a chance for a picture! Me: Getting to eat some awesome scallops at Reel Seafood here in Albany.

Low Point of the Day: Me: There were no 'Welcome Center' type rest stops in New Jersey or New York where we could look for geocaches. Katie: Daddy brought some "chocolate chip" cookies that turned out to be raisin cookies. Katie HATES raisins!
