Katie's 1st Level 3 Gym Meet

Katie had a ball at her very first gym meet. She scored 2nd place in vault, 7th place on balance beam, 8th place on uneven bars, 9th place on her floor exercise and 7th place all around. She loved it!

Sunday was Katie's birthday, so we took her to see the 2008 Tour of Gymnastics Superstars. It was amazing! The gymnasts were all something special to see. Katie loved it, and so did I. Anna, Alyssa and Nana all had a great time, too.
We left after the show and headed to Chuck E. Cheese for a little more birthday fun with the cousins, Caleb and Nathan, Aunt Allison, David and Reese. Nana had to leave for work, but the rest of us had a ball.

Katie's gymnastics recital was last Saturday. She had a ball! Of course all of her adoring fans (Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Papaw Gary, Aunt Allison, Ms. Marsha and Nathan) were there to see her perform. She did a great job! She just joined the Competitive Gymnastics team, so she didn't know all of the routines yet, but she gave it a great try. I think being on the team is going to be great for her.
